Xocolatl Barrel-Aged Dark —This 70% dark chocolate is made with Ugandan cacao nibs that are soaked in whiskey and then aged in whiskey barrels.

Typically, a maker using a spirit of some kind will use one of those two options, but Xocolatl here opts for both to layer a range of flavors from American Spirit Works Duality Double Malt Whiskey. After soaking in the whiskey, they are then aged in the barrels.

Xocolatl has featured this bar as an annual release the last couple years, but has just announced it will now be a year-round offering.

Intrigue Blackberry + Mushrooms—Earthy and fruity meet in this new bar using cacao from Semuliki Forest, Uganda.

Moka Origins Peppermint—A perennial favorite, the Peppermint bar layers 72% dark chocolate with white chocolate crusted with crushed candy cane.

Again Croissant and Coffee—Chocolarder’s new Again line uses ingredients that would otherwise have been wasted from other businesses to cut down on food waste. This bar uses croissants from Watergate Bay Hotel and used coffee grounds from Monmouth house espresso the chocolate makers use in their factory espresso maker.

Map Pumpkin Blondie—A new bar from Mackenzie Rivers at Map is always cause for celebration. She always releases something with pumpkin this time of year, and the 2024 edition combines pumpkin chocolate, fall spices, and chunks of 68% dark chocolate.

Ethereal Pumpkin To Talk AboutThis dairy-free white chocolate celebrates the season with pumpkin pie spices and a dusting of espresso.

Puchero Madagascar 100% AmbalahonkaThis bar is made from one of the smallest plots in the well-known Sambirano Valley and features “delicate acidity and notes of raspberry and cashew.”

Sisters A Pumpkin, Ginger, & Cookies—Our friends at Sisters A have a fun autumn bar out made with the title ingredients, as well as nutmeg and cinnamon, for a cozy fall treat.
