Final Gravity Zine Issue #01
Issue 01 of Final Gravity, a print beer magazine that shares immersive and personal stories from the world of beer, is now available.
Rather than a typical glossy beer mag, Final Gravity is an old school stapled zine, but with paid writing and art. It tells the stories that don’t often make it into the pages of beer magazines, the stories that together weave the fabric of the collective beer experience.
This inaugural issue of Final Gravity means so much to us, and we’re proud of the stories contained within. Mark Lafaro’s smart look at NA beer’s story problem was recognized by the North American Guild of Beer Writers at their 2023 awards, as was editor David Nilsen’s brief look at Primitive Beer’s Frosted in Moss.
Welcome to the first issue of Final Gravity, a zine that shares immersive and personal stories from the world of beer!
This issue includes the following articles:
Non-Alcoholic Beer’s Story Problem by Mark Lafaro
Cincinnati’s Esoteric Brewing by David Nilsen
Beer and July 4th in a Mexican Family by Melinda Guerra
Why We Gather Around Beer by Betsy Lay of Lady Justice Brewing
A Day In a Small Brewery Owner’s Life by Betty Bollas of Fibonacci Brewing
What a Touring Musician Wants Taproom Venues to Know by musician Anna p.s.
Seipp Brewing’s Family History by Laurin Mack of Seipp Brewing
Recent Thoughts by Ale Sharpton
original artwork by Annabelle Popa
Primitive Frosted in Moss by David Nilsen
This zine is 8.5” x 5.5”, 50 full-color pages, and staple-bound. Despite being a grassroots, DIY zine, it features paid writing and artwork and professional-quality editing and formatting.
